Selangor Pas communication secretary Roslan Shahir Mohd Shahir said the optimism comes from the coalition's current standing following their ongoing campaign in Selangor.
"Based on the current position, the support from the Malays remains high ranging from 65 to 70 per cent.
"The Indian community follows at 15 per cent while the Chinese community contributes around 5 per cent of the support," he said at a press conference in Bilik Gerakan Utama PN Selangor, here.
Also present during the meeting were Selangor Bersatu Secretary Datuk Azman Yaakob and Selangor Gerakan Secretary Chong Hak Beang.
He said an assertive grassroots campaign and the unveiling of the New Selangor Perikatan Nasional manifesto will further increase voter support.
Onthe state's current governance, Roslan said the people of Selangor have lost their trust with the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government, which has been accused of compromising Selangor's rights and wealth for certain interests.
"Issues of rampant river pollution, inefficient waste management, unchecked mushrooming of illegal factories and encroachment into forests reserve are among the key factors contributing to the people's 'trust deficit' towards PH in Selangor," he said.
He pointed out this has bolstered PN's electoral prospects in key seats including Hulu Kelang, Sungai Ramal, Kuala Kubu Baru and Batu Tiga.
Roslan called on residents of Selangor, regardless of age, race and economic background to fulfill their civic duty by turning out to vote on Aug 12.
"For the future of Selangor, let us all choose the proven caring, clean, and stable coalition," he said, adding that the future of Selangor lies with PN.
