JELEBU - Bersatu Jelebu division chief Tan Sri Rais Yatim echoed Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang claims that Perikatan Nasional's (PN) victory in the state polls will cause Members of Parliament (MPs) to change their compass.

Rais suggested that while Hadi's claim has a logical narrative, he noted that it is bound by limitations.

"For example, some provisions under the Constitution state that the consolidated fund that we use together is still under the jurisdiction of the federal administration" he told reporters after the PN Youth Assembly here on Wednesday.

Also present was PN secretary general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

It was previously reported in Sinar that PN's victory in the state elections on Aug 12 will allow for changes in the federal government.

Pas president Hadi claimed that this is likely to happen considering that there are MPs from Umno as well as from Sabah and Sarawak who will support the coalition later.

Commenting further, Rais also said that the federal government needs to listen to the states requests to spend the consolidated fund.

"The way to spend it must be heard," he said.
