Mother wails seeing child abused at nursery in surveillance footage

KOTA KINABALU - A surveillance camera footage had gone viral on WhatsApp today showing a child being abused at a nursery around Kota Kinabalu.
The two-minute-12-second video showed a group of children in a nursery with two adults.
While distributing meals one of the adults was seen kicking, pulling hair, pushing and hitting a child on the head with a book.
Upon discovering the footage, the victim's parents had become enraged.
Due to the footage of the child being hit repeatedly, the mother became overcame with grief and rage repeating the words "my poor child" as she wailed.
The woman had then saved the video to be used as evidence in their police report later.
Meanwhile, Kota Kinabalu district deputy police chief Superintendent Kalsom Idris when contacted confirmed that she had received a report regarding the incident.
"There is. It will be shared with the media," she told Sinar on Wednesday.
