SHAH ALAM: Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has lambasted DAP member Mandeep Singh for his recent comments, saying that voting for Muda is equivalent to voting for Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Mandeep is currently DAP deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo's political secretary.

In response to the latter's tweet on Wednesday, Syed Saddiq noted that Pakatan Harapan, which once opposed voting for Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, now supports him.

"Bro. It was your coalition that once said, "Undi KJ=Zahid", now it’s your coalition that made DS Zahid DPM (deputy prime minister)," he said.

Syed Saddiq also said Pakatan Harapan, which used to be against the Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, is now defending the postponement of his court cases.

"Defended the non-stop postponement of his criminal cases.

"Kept silent when he pressured to get his cases dropped.

"Muda-Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) is here to hold both PH-BN and PN accountable! he said in the tweet.

Mandeep had earlier commented on Syed Saddiq's statement that Muda might take on the opposition’s role should Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional form the government in Penang.

"Meaning that be in government with PN if PN wins kan? Basically, Undi MUDA = UNDI PN kan," Mandeep said on his official Twitter account earlier.

It was reported that Muar MP said that personally, he would like the party to be the "people’s conscience" and serve as a proper alternative and opposition power.
