KUALA PILAH - The Perikatan Nasional (PN) election team at the Juasseh state seat were in for a surprise after discovering a pig's head placed on top of coalition's party flag at its service centre here this morning.

PN's candidate for the Juasseh State Assembly Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith said he was informed on the incident about 8.30am along with a photograph.

He said a similar incident took place near a residence of one of his staff members.

"In the realm of politics, incidents of this nature are to some extent expected. They might even take more extreme forms. Nonetheless, we will remain composed. I speculate that these actions could be seen as an effort to divert attention as state elections are mere just days away.

"It could be the work of some desperate individual. We view this as part of the challenges we face. We would refrain from making accusations as we aim to maintain sensitivity towards all parties involved," he said.

The former Kuala Pilah MP said a police report has been lodged over the matter.

"It could also be the action of desperate individuals and we consider this as part of the challenges faced. We shouldn't accuse anyone because we want to maintain sensitivity of various parties," he told reporters at his operations room, today.

Meanwhile, Eddin, the Kuala Pilah Bersatu chief reminded his party machinery to have a positive outlook.

"In my address last night, I advised our party machinery that if we witness the flag of an opposing party fall, we should collectively raise it. Our aspiration is to foster a healthy and constructive political culture," he said, urging everyone to put importance to mature politics.

"It is incumbent upon us to abstain from employing tactics of this nature. It is a regrettable disgrace on religious values, ethnic diversity, and the prospects for our forthcoming generations, who are unavoidably exposed to negative and detrimental behaviors," he asserted.
