‘Why is Kelantan BN-PH manifesto not focusing on water issue?’ – Amar
KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah wonders why the BN-Pakatan Harapan (BN-PH) manifesto in the state election does not prioritise the water issue.
He said the matter was seen as contradictory with the BN-PH struggle constantly pushing the water issue in the state.
“All of a sudden, their manifesto did not once mention the plans and efforts to be made towards solving the water issues in Kelantan.
“That should have been the priority for the BN-PH manifesto,” he said when asked to comment on the BN-PH manifesto offered for the election.
Amar questioned why BN-PH would constantly attack and criticise the water issue but failed to state what they would do to overcome it in the manifesto.
He said offers to reduce the land tax, premium land of over 50 per cent were nothing new as it had been done several times under the Pas administration, with land bills being waived and discounts given up to 50 per cent.
“There are assessment rates that we have written off. Everything had neem done before, it’s not new,” he said.
Sinar previously reported BN-PH outlined four main cores with the 34 offers that the public would benefit from as a whole and were inclusive if they were given the mandate to govern the state in the elections on Aug 12.
Among them were the water issue, eliminating the water levy on Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB) and lowering the domestic (residential) water supply application fee.
