'Peja doesn't understand the laws to change government' - Nik Nazmi
KUALA TERENGGANU - Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu's statement that it was not impossible for the federal government to change despite ties to the Anti Party Hopping law shows that the former Tambun MP lacks understanding of the nation's legal process.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said Faizal should stop releasing such statements because it would not aid in repairing the economy.
"This shows that Faizal does not understand the nation's laws, we have had enough of this. We have gone through several changes of government.
"Remember the orders of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and I'm confident that the public themselves requested for political differences to be pushed aside. We want to stabilise the country after the state elections," he said.
He told reporters during a press conference after visiting the PKR Kuala Terengganu by-election candidate Azan Ismail here on Monday.
On Sunday Faizal had stated that it was not impossible for the federal government to change if Perikatan Nasional (PN) wins in the state elections.
He said it was due to some legal processes allowing for the change to happen.
Rebuking Faisal's statement Nik Nazmi stressed that what the nation currently needs is economic development, investment as well as jobs and not to change the current government.
"The changes in government firstly would never happen. Speaking about it would not aid in restoring the nation's economy.
"Just be good opposition thats enough. He (Faizal) had lost (in the Tambun Parliament)," he said.
