'Just focus on your new home and don't meddle in your old home affairs'
IPOH - Umno former leaders who join the opposition party simply cannot to criticise Umno solely because they lost in the previous party election.
Its Supreme Council Member Datuk Mohd Arrif Abdul Majid stated that those who join the opposition party, such as Umno former Youth Exco Faridzul Azlan Abd Shani should continue moving forward with their new team without dwelling on the past and blaming the old party.
According to him, everyone respects the decision of the Umno Tambun Division former Youth Chief to join Perikatan Nasional (PN) and become a member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
Faridul Azlan had previously losing in the race for the Umno Tambun Division Chief position in the previous party election.
"Do not let disappointment from defeat and not holding a position in Umno become his reason for this decision.
"If that's the case, he should have taken this step six months ago.
"If we want to argue about who is right and who is wrong, there may be no end to it, as everyone has their own views.
"But do not just express these 'views' just because you are in a new 'home' and are trying to become a hero in this new 'home' by using shallow excuses.
"If you are in a new 'home,' just take care of that 'home,' there's no need to interfere in the affairs of the old 'home'," he said in a statement today.
Mohd Arrif, who is also a Umno Perak former Youth Chief, also urged the Umno former leaders to stop using outdated excuses to blame Umno for switching to the opposition party.
Sinar reported yesterday that Faridzul Azlan, who is also a former Umno Youth Exco member had admitted that he could not compromise his principles by staying with Umno, which he described as having deviated from its true struggle.
Faridzul, who recently joined PN, stated that Umno's current struggle is more about the interests of individuals that benefit a few members and harm most members at the grassroots level.
