SUNGAI PETANI - Caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar (MB) Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has pulled a second no-show at a meeting for the Kedah polls, amid warnings of 'traps' set by his adversaries.

As such — said Alor Setar MP Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden — Sanusi has been advised to lay low so as to avoid being ensnared by wiliness of the enemies of Perikatan Nasional (PN).

“The have laid down all manner of traps for him. We’re afraid if he gets caught, he will never be able to break free from it.

“In the coming days, something terrible might happen. All of us have to be prepared. Please pray for the safety of our MB and our candidates.

“I know all of you are disappointed right now, but please don’t lose faith. InysaAllah we will reinstate him as our MB,” Afnan pleaded to the crowd who gathered at the meeting at Taman Ria, here, last night.

On Saturday, Sanusi also did not turn up at a scheduled meeting in Padang Serai, with the organiser citing 'serious safety reasons'.

At that time, talk was rife that Sanusi had been called by the police for questioning which the latter eventually denied and dismissed the matter as fake news.
