Pas does not teach culture of infidel-labelling others - Ahmad Fadhli
AISYAH BASARUDDINSHAH ALAM - Pas Youth denies the claim that the party adopts an extremist culture, such as labelling supporters and other parties as infidels.
Its Youth Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari stated that the party's leadership does not arbitrarily label people as infidels and does not pass judgement on whether someone will go to heaven or hell.
"We (Pas Youth) grew up in an environment where we do not label people as absolutes or determine whether they will go to heaven or hell," he said in a Facebook post today.
Ahmad Fadhli made these remarks in response to an issue where an elderly woman, a Pas supporter, labelled another party as infidels in a recent viral video.
He emphasized that everything said in that video is the personal view of that woman and has never been taught by Pas, especially with the current party leadership.
Henceforth, Ahmad Fadhli called for the issue to be corrected to prevent any further culture of infidel labelling from happening within the community.
Concurrently, he also shared the views of Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang regarding the culture of infidel labelling.
The Marang MP explained that only Allah SWT is worthy of determining whether someone goes to heaven or hell, not humans.
He added that humans should not judge others just because a few of them are ignorant or unaware of something; instead, they should advise and counsel one another.
Ahmad Fadhli stated that this approach is the ideology taught to Pas Youth and the party members because religion preaches others to avoid falling into evil.
"Religion is advice, so advising others to avoid ending up in hell or committing sin is the essence of religion, not labelling someone as an infidel and the like," he said.
