JELEBU - Umno Negeri Sembilan chairman Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias has accused Perikatan Nasional (PN) of using a desperate move to secure votes by urging Umno members to support the coalition.

Jalaluddin said that this approach is being used by most PN leaders, who have no other issues to campaign on except for trying to arouse dissatisfaction and anger among voters.

"They have been doing this from the beginning, and now they are actively using this approach," he said.

Jalaluddin, who is the BN candidate for the Pertang state seat said that he has clarified several matters that have been manipulated by the opposition, involving the role of the Umno president in strengthening BN.

"What is most important is that our members understand the significance of defending the Unity Government and not wasting their votes on Aug 12," he said.

Meanwhile, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh said that she wants supporters of both BN and PH to come together and strengthen their respective sides to ensure that votes are gathered to fight against PN.

"As I mentioned earlier, we cannot be complacent, and we cannot think that we don't need to vote just because Anwar (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) has become the Prime Minister.

"Actually, this thinking is incorrect, and I urge the residents, even in their own localities, that if they don't see PN campaign activities, we cannot assume they are weak because they are active on platforms like WhatsApp, YouTube, TikTok, and others," she said.
