SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) does not resort to 'copy-paste' tactics in its election manifesto for Selangor as the coalition has ample experience, including governing at the federal level in the past, said chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

"I don't even read what the other side (Pakatan Harapan Selangor) offers, so why would we 'copy-paste' anything?

"We have enough experience and we don't need to look at what others are doing," he said.

Muhyiddin said this in response to a statement by Selangor PH chief Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari who recently claimed that PN might 'copy-paste' PH's manifesto.

PN Selangor unveiled an economic stimulus package worth over RM2 billion for the upcming state elections on Aug 12.

Themed as "Selangor Baharu, Kita Bangkit," the package includes seven main pillars, 25 approaches, and 112 proposals.

Muhyiddin added that the offers made by PN are realistic and the coalition is committed to bringing about change in Selangor if entrusted with the mandate on August 12.

PN Aims to Make Selangor a 'Super Smart State'

PN Selangor Chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said the coalition

is determined to transform Selangor into a 'Super Smart State' if it wins.

Among the initiatives to be implemented are attracting skilled and high-tech foreign investors to create quality job opportunities for Selangor youth.

Azmin further said the current state government has failed to attract high-tech investors and the existing investments tend to heavily rely on foreign workers.

"If this continues, it would be challenging for the youth in Selangor to create or be provided with quality and high-skilled job opportunities," he said, adidng that one of the proposals under PN is to attract high-quality and high-tech investments to create 100,000 quality jobs.

Azmin, the former minister also highlighted Selangor's previous success when he was still at the Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) minister last year.

He cited an example of bringing Amazon Web Services (AWS) to Selangor, even though the state was not under PN's administration, yet he managed to secure investments worth RM25 billion for the state. -ADVERTORIAL
