KUALA NERUS - The announcement of the 'poster boy' or Menteri Besar candidate is not the primary concern as the main focus for Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) should be on winning the Terengganu state polls.

Seberang Takir BN candidate, Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman said the candidates representing the unity government must work hard to ensure they can successfully wrest control of Terengganu from Pas.

"We have not received any decision on the appointment of Menteri Besar. It is also not within our power to do so. The party's president will suggest the names of Menteri Besar candidates, and the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin will decide who will be the menteri besar.

"So, we don't need to talk about who will be the state's poster boy.

"To me, there will not be any issue on who will be made poster boy, as the more important focus now is to take over the administration of Terengganu, " he said after visiting the Seberang Takir Hemodialysis Centre, today.

Ahmad Razif said after five years of what he referred to as "no development" under PAS's administration, the party will go all out to develop the state.

He was commenting on the poster boy since BN-PH has not announced the candidate who will be elected to lead the state if the Unity Government succeeds in recapturing Terengganu on Aug 12.

Commenting further, he said voters need to support BN-PH as this would lead to more development of people's welfare, further adding voters should evaluate for themselves the impact of Pas's governance over the past five years.

He further urged voters to vote for the BN-PH candidate to continue the struggle for the people and to the work between federal and state government.
