SHAH ALAM - Lawyer and political activist Haris Ibrahim dies at noon today after battling lung cancer for four months.

The Star reported that 63-year-old Haris breathed his last at his brother’s home, where he had stayed since his initial diagnosis on the illness.

Haris’s sister-in-law Firoza Burhan said he accepted the diagnosis and fought valiantly despite the limited time he had.

“He took it stoically and fought courageously after undergoing the therapies,” she said as quoted by The Star.

Firoza also said that Haris passed peacefully at their home.

“He took in a few breaths and faded away, “ she said.

Firoza said Haris had woken up feeling tired a few hours before his passing.

Haris was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in April and was told he had six months to live.
