'Wearing jacket doesn't mean party member' - Afiq Amani Annuar

KOTA BHARU - Former Ketereh Umno Youth chief, Afiq Amani Annuar, has clarified that his wearing of a Perikatan Nasional (PN) jacket does not mean that he has joined the party.
Afiq was summoned on stage by his father, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who is also the of Muafakat Nasional (MN) chairman, to put on the jacket by Pas President, Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, at a ceramah in Kelantan yesterday.
Afiq said that he was showing his support for PN, but that he has not yet decided whether to campaign for the party in the upcoming state elections.
"So far, I have not thought about campaigning for PN or not," he said to reporters.
Afiq also reiterated that he has yet to decide on his political future after announcing his resignation from Umno on Friday.
Annuar, who is also the former Ketereh Umno chief, announced numerous other leaders' resignations and departures from Umno on the same day.
