BALING - Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim denies the allegations labeling him as anti-Kedah and instead explains that he has brought additional investments amounting to over RM25 billion to the Kulim Hi-Tech Park.

According to him, this success proves that he is not against Kedah but is striving to bring investments to the entire country, including Kedah.

"Why would I be anti-Kedah? I have brought billions of ringgit worth of investments to Kedah, tell them that... Does this Anwar hate people from Kedah? He gives everything (investments) to Penang, to Johor, do you understand that I am the Prime Minister of Malaysia?

But for Kedah, I brought in additional investment from Infenion, the largest outside of Germany, To where? Kulim. Which state? Kedah, that's why Kedah needs to change sides because we can perform. To say that I am anti-Kedah, that's not true," he said.

He made these remarks during the Madani Kedah Unity Tour in Kupang, Baling, yesterday.

Also present at the event were the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Home Minister, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, and the Transport Minister, Anthony Loke Siew Fook.

Anwar stressed that as the Prime Minister, he pays attention to every state when it comes to attracting foreign investments into the country.

Earlier, the media reported that an additional investment of approximately RM25 billion by Infineon Technologies would be implemented in the Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah.
