PN denies copying PH manifesto, says Selangor offer is realistic
SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) has denied copying Pakatan Harapan's (PH) manifesto for the upcoming Selangor state elections.
PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the coalition had a lot of experience in government, both at the federal and state levels, and did not need to copy PH's manifesto.
"I didn't even read what was offered on the other side (PH Selangor) (so) what do you want to 'copy and paste'?"
"We have enough experience, and we don't have to look at what other people do, we join in doing it... As a government (which) we already have experience at (the) federal level, we were never taught, we can do it, we use our past experience," he said yesterday.
Muhyiddin was responding to Selangor PH chairman Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari's recent statement, who claimed not to rule out the possibility that PH's manifesto would be 'copy-pasted' by PN.
Earlier, PN Selangor offered the Prihatin Selangor Economic Stimulus Package worth more than RM2 billion in conjunction with the PRN in Selangor.
Muhyiddin said that the offer was realistic and that PN was committed to bringing change in the state of Selangor if given mandate on Aug 12.
"As I say, we do this commitment seriously. We don't make empty promises and to make sure everything is in the offer book.
"We will form a committee that will observe that everything we say is implemented," he added.
Muhyiddin also challenged Amirudin to clarify whether PH's manifesto for Selangor included a RM2 billion stimulus package.
"The Prime Minister (of Selangor) claims that we are copying what he did, I am not copying but I should ask him if he has been offered a RM2 billion stimulus package, I want to ask him, is it the same," he asked.
