PN offers free school bus fares for Selangor students
IZWAN ROZLIN MOHD AZLIM ZAINURYSHAH ALAM - In order to further strengthen students' education excellence in the state, Selangor Perikatan Nasional (PN), via its sixth model, 'Insan Gemilang' offers various incentives for students.
In the manifesto launched on Friday,PN national chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said this also includes the introduction of the Selangor Prihatin Anak Sekolah' initiative with RM100 school bus fares per month for 20,000 Selangor children through the cooperation of existing bus operators.
He also added that under the pillar, other offers involved the establishment of a special learning fund of RM2 million per year for students with special education needs.
"Further, the distribution of Parent Teacher Association (PIBG) funds of RM5,000 per year to all government schools in Selangor, including SJK (C) and SJK (T), with a total allocation of RM5 million.
"PN would also establish the Selangor Science Academy by preparing primary school-level education that focused on science, technology, and innovation," he added.
Further, to ensure a conducive educational environment, a total of RM120 million would be allocated to improve teaching and learning quality, including the digitization aspects of education, in addition to the construction of new science and technology-integrated religious schools.
He added Kafa fee aid would be given to students from families that needed it, with an allocation of RM6 million per year.
