Lau accepts Pas’ apology, says its just a small misunderstanding
BAYAN LEPAS – After being asked to leave Perikatan Nasional (PN) Best Mega Ceramah recently, Gerakan president Dominic Lau says he accepts the apology from Pas with an open heart and urges everyone to move on from the issue.
He said that it was just a small misunderstanding.
"I have accepted the apology statement with open heart, this is only a small mistake. We are all human beings who can never run away from mistakes.
"Let's put a 'full-stop' on this issue and not look back. I believe all are settled so no more questions on this anymore," he told reporters in Sungai Batu, Penang today.
Lau further stressed that the 'small misunderstanding' does not reflect the relationship between the component parties of Perikatan Nasional (PN).
"As I said, this is just a small misunderstanding. This, however, does not reflect our relationship between the party components in PN.
"The component party in PN are harmony, we are all good," he added.
Earlier today, Pas apologised to Lau over an incident where he was reportedly asked to leave the PN mega talk after he showed up without being invited.
Pas secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said Lau should have been accepted and treated as a guest, in accordance with Islamic principles.
The talk was also attended by Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang recently.
