Security guard damages neighbour's car window for being noisy

AMPANG - A security guard was arrested on suspicion of committing mischief by damaging the car window of his neighbour's Honda Civic car at a shophouse in Pandan Indah, last Saturday.

Ampang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said a 51-year-old man lodged a report claiming that the rear window of his car was cracked.

"The complainant suspected the incident to be an act of mischief," he said in a statement, today.

Mohd Azam said they arrested a 32-year-old man at noon in Pandan Indah on Tuesday.

"Checks found that the suspect had no criminal record and he was tested negative for drugs," he said.

He said the cause of the incident was due to the suspect frequently accusing the complainant who lived on the upper floor of his house of being noisy.

This, he said had made the suspect feel uncomfortable.

"The suspect has been remanded for three days from Wednesday to Friday to assist in investigations under Section 427 of the Penal Code," he said.
