In a welcoming speech, Sinar Karangkraf Chief Executive Officer, Farah Hussamuddin expressed her gratitude to all those involved in realizing this carnival to fruition.

"We hold a large responsibility to shape the generation that will inherit our country in the future,"

The carnival, she said, is a push in the right direction to initiate the prioritization of education for the benefit of our children.

"I hope that every headmaster and parents-teacher association (PTA) in schools nearby would convince parents and their children to attend this carnival in order to ensure that no child is left behind from experiencing this event," she said

Meanwhile, Selangor Education Department Director, Dr.Jafri bin Abu who attended the event expressed his hope that the collaboration between the department and Sinar Karangkraf, will help to empower the Malaysian Education Blueprint 2013 - 2025, which aims to elevate the standard of education to achieve international levels.

"The new era of education centers around the smooth flow of information, media, and technology. Thus students need to be exposed to a more dynamic method of using technology," he added.

Jafri said he hoped carnival will be an excellent platform for educators and students alike to provide opportunities and exposure to students and teachers regarding out-of-classroom learning.

"This generation has outgrown conventional learning methods, thus educators and parents play an important role in ensuring that students use safe and trusted information in their learning process." he said

Sinar Bestari Education Carnival Director, Meen Tahrin stated that the three-day carnival will have multiple interesting activities for both students and their guardians.

"One of our most anticipated activities is a town hall session with the Education Minister, Fadhlina Sidek. This is an opportunity for students, teachers, and guardians to raise their inquiries and concerns directly to our Education Minister."
