Jeram BN's candidate legs broken but spirits are high to win
JEMPOL - Despite being wheelchair-bound following an accident on July 31, Jeram Padang BN candidate Datuk Mohd Zaidy Abdul Kadir has shown unwavering display of dedication as he campaigns in the state seat in Negeri Sembilan.
He is determined to carry out his responsibilities as a state assemblyman if he wins the seat.
"I admit the situation is quite difficult but it would not dampen my spirits to carry the party's trust to ensure the Jeram Padang state seat is defended by BN," he told Sinar.
Zaidy fractured his left leg in a road accident three days ago. The Ford Ranger that he was driving from Bahau to Palong via Jalan Pasir Besar crashed at about 3 am.
His aide, Khairul Ahnaf Baharom, who was with him was unconscious at the Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital in Kuala Pilah.
Zaidy started campaigning yesterday visiting homes and attending a ceramah.
He denied any intentional efforts to gain sympathy during his campaign, stating his commitment to serve the people and the party's cause.
He explained his legs are yet to recover, but his spirit never wavered.
"As what I said previously, what happened to me was predestined by Allah. I will accept all of it," he said, adding that he is grateful for the opportunity to campaign.
"Don't worry about my condition," he assured.
Zaidy said his driver who was in a critical condition was still under treatments at the Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital (HTAN), Kuala Pilah and was stable, but he was still unconscious.
