PN Kedah offers 100,000 job opportunities if they win the state elections
JITRA - A total of 17 items are offered in the Kedah Perikatan Nasional (PN) manifesto to the people of the state if they are given the mandate in the August 12 State Elections.
The manifesto was launched by Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang during the Mega PN Best Tour Program at Dataran Darul Aman, Jitra, near here yesterday night.
Among the offerings is to provide 100,000 competitive job opportunities within 30 years through investment and the implementation of high-impact projects, including planned projects such as the Kedah Rubber City (KRC), Kedah Aerotropolis, and Kulim High Technology Park (KHTP).
PN also intends to build and provide low-cost and affordable homes through government and private initiatives for first-time homebuyers, with a target of 15,000 houses by 2030.
Furthermore, the coalition also aims to ensure domestic and international investment commitments with various high-impact projects, targeting RM10 billion annually, as outlined in the Kedah 2035 Plan.
To ensure every citizen has a residential home, PN also offered to provide affordable residential land lots for low-income groups and to expedite the approval process for long-pending land ownership applications.
PN is also committed to resolving the long-standing issue of clean water supply in the state and reducing non-revenue water (NRW) to 25 percent by 2037.
If given the mandate, PN Kedah aims to further strengthen professional and integrity-driven state governance, emphasizing justice and the well-being of all races while safeguarding the rights and jurisdiction of the state government, as stated in the Federal Constitution.
They also seek to enhance the efficiency of leadership institutions, representatives, village chiefs, and imams in delivering services to the people.
The PN Election Driector General, who is also the Caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, in his speech, said that PN Kedah's offerings are a continuation of their administration over the past three years.
He stated that the manifesto would serve as the foundation to continue the success of 'The Greater Kedah,' in line with Kedah being a place where the poor find shelter and the wealthy contribute back to society.
