PH Kota Kemuning candidate hopes to solve ongoing issues in the area
SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan's Kota Kemuning candidate, Preakas Sampunathan wishes to serve the community and solve long-standing problems in the area.
Sampunathan explained that he hopes to improvise and rectify the issues raised by the community which includes traffic woes, cleanliness, and road maintenance.
"I wish to try my best to look into the problems and solve them for the community," he said when asked about his plans in the area.
Sampunathan added that one of the most pressing issues in Kota Kemuning is the lack of public schools to serve the community. Currently, there is only one public secondary school in the area and it is reported to be overcrowded and insufficient to accommodate the students in Kota Kemuning.
"If given the mandate, I hope to engage with the ministry and find out why the development of a second school has not kicked off despite already having procured the land for the project," he emphasized.
"I will also liaise with some agencies and the people here to ensure another school will be developed." he said
Sampunathan who is a 41-year-old lawyer will be contesting in the Selangor state polls for the first time.
He hopes the people of Kota Kemuning will trust him and give him a chance in the upcoming Selangor state polls. He also mentioned that his electoral campaign motto will be 'Love all, Serve all'.
Sampunathan, alongside DAP veteran Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang and Deputy Communication and Digital Minister, YB Teo Nie Ching attended a Tai Chi exercise program at Kota Kemuning Lakeside Park this morning and was seen greeting the people exercising in the area while handing out pamphlets entailing the details of his campaign.
"I thank all the Kota Kemuning people for welcoming me, and I hope they will also vote for me and stand behind the unity government so we will continue governing Selangor for the next five years."
