MELAKA: Twenty two unions under the Health Ministry have expressed their wholehearted support and approval for the ministry's current direction, stressing the importance of an efficient and high-quality service delivery system.

In a joint statement issued by the Joint Council of Presidents and secretary-generals of the Health Ministry Workers' Union (MAPSU) following a convention held last week in Melaka, the unions pledged their full backing for the ministry's efforts.

Newly-elected MAPSU president Ajulahin Japin highlighted the alignment of their decision with the Madani government concept championed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He said the ministry, led by Dr Zaliha Mustafa, emphasised on continuous consultation and engagement sessions with ministry employees, particularly those responsible for policy implementation.

"Fostering a harmonious relationship between employers and workers is essential for ensuring an efficient and high-quality service system," he said.
