Anwar urges those exploiting sensitive issues to be held accountable
KUALA LANGAT - In a significant speech at the unity government machinery in Tanjung Sepat, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim passionately stressed the inclusivity of Malaysia as a nation for all its citizens.
He highlighted that Malaysia belongs to Malaysians of all ethnicities, including the Chinese, Indian, Sabah, and Sarawak communities.
"Malaysia is ours, and those who disrupt harmony and raise unnecessary issues are the ones who hinder progress," Anwar firmly stated.
The Tambun MP strongly addressed the use of the 3R (race, religion, and royalty) issue as campaign material.
He urged those perpetuating such divisive tactics to be held accountable.
"Those who continue to exploit these sensitive matters for political gain should face legal consequences, including imprisonment," he said.
In a related matter, Anwar claimed that Malaysians should recognise that their true adversaries are not fellow citizens of different ethnicities, such as the Indians or Chinese, but rather leaders who engage in corrupt practices and embezzle from the people.
"We aim to save the country and have achieved stable politics and a thriving Madani Economy," he said.
The Prime Minister also shared his positive engagements with China, expressing optimism about attracting more investors from the country.
"We had a warm discussion, and many investors are eager to collaborate with us," he remarked.
On the allegations made by Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Anwar reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining harmony in the country during his tenure.
"We have proven our dedication to the country's progress over the past eight months in power. There are no cases of stealing money or land under our leadership. In contrast, when PN was in power, even cooking oil was stolen," he claimed.
Anwar also highlighted the potential opportunities for Malaysia in the technology sector, mentioning that SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk, expressed interest in collaborating with the country.
"We have garnered the support of three companies working with Musk, thanks to the unity government. Musk even considered making Cyberjaya the headquarters for Tesla in Malaysia, and I have personally invited him to the opening ceremony," Anwar disclosed.
Encouraging citizens to exercise their right to vote responsibly, the Prime Minister urged them not to underestimate the importance of their choices during elections.
"Let us not make mistakes while voting; our decisions shape the future of our beloved nation," he urged.
