AEON BiG launches Rahmah Sports Initiative

KUALA LUMPUR - AEON BiG (M) Sdn. Bhd., better known as AEON BiG, today launched the Rahmah Sports Initiative Programme to promote and support local sports activities in Malaysia as well as strengthen community bonds.

One of the goals of the Rahmah Sports Initiative Programme is to give the less fortunate more access to sports equipment while assisting them in developing their sports talent to greater heights.

Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh had earlier launched the initiative at AEON BiG Klang.

Also present at the event was AEON BiG Managing Director Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed.

AEON BiG offers nearly 100 different types of sports equipment and clothing through the programme, with consumers receiving discounts ranging from 10 per cent to 30 per cent.

The promotion will run from Aug 1 to Oct 14, 2023, and it will coincide with the National Sports Day event in early Oct.

Sheikh Farouk said AEON BiG is always ready to move together to ensure that life continues and that economic and social conditions remain balanced.

"Sports are also one of the most popular activities among Malaysians. We are grateful for the chance to bring our ecosystem closer to sports.The involvement of AEON BiG in sports is not new," he said.

AEON BiG has also partnered with the Malaysian Football League, Selangor FC, and the National Baseball League this year.

The AEON BiG Sports Initiative aims to promote community and public participation in local sports arenas while also fostering healthy relationships within the community and building a more active, healthy, and competitive society.
