SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan’s Sungai Tua candidate, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has made a claim that Perikatan Nasional (PN) is a political party that came together only to gain power.

He went on to refer to PN as 'Pertikaian Nasional' (National Conflict), suggesting that they continuously question and criticise his actions and capabilities as the caretaker Selangor Menteri Besar, simply because it is their way of opposing him.

Amirudin firmly argued that the statistics and facts contradict the claims made by the Opposition.

He highlighted Selangor's success in boosting state revenue by 25.5 per cent over the past 15 years.

Additionally, he said his efforts last year to develop the first Selangor Plan, which encompassed 200 projects and an RM200 billion budget, aimed at achieving a 30 per cent increase in the country's economic development by 2027.

"In the last five years, from 2018 until 2023, we have generated 89,000 new job opportunities in Malaysia, a result of the investments made in Selangor," Amirudin said at the Arus Merah Kuning Mega Ceramah at Subang Bestari last night.

The Election Commission (EC) has set Aug 12 as the polling day.
