GEORGETOWN - Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) are set to launch their joint manifesto and introduce unity candidates on Aug 1 at the Butterworth Arena.

Penang DAP Chairman, Chow Kon Yeow, announced that the event will feature the introduction of all 40 candidates from the Unity Government, alongside the unveiling of the Unity Manifesto Perpaduan.

This unique manifesto is a collaborative effort, incorporating input from all parties involved, and will serve as the state's election promises.

During a press conference at Penang DAP headquarters, Chow expressed the significance of this joint manifesto, emphasising that it will also assess the progress of previous manifestos and their achievements.

Any unfulfilled goals will be reevaluated for continuation in this new term.

"This will be a special and historic occasion, as it marks the first time cooperation between these two coalitions has resulted in a unified manifesto. It demonstrates the consensus between PH and BN," Chow said.

As the campaign weeks begin, various activities are planned, including talks, walkabouts, and meetings with voters to disseminate the message of the alliance throughout the region.

"Penang DAP is dedicated to organising engaging activities and hosting informative talks at appropriate venues to reach out to the people," Chow added.
