Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh marries longtime partner Jean Todt
SHAH ALAM – Oscar-winning actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh and her partner, Datuk Seri Jean Todt, have finally tied the knot after 19 years of engagement.
The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland, on July 27.
The ceremony was attended by close friends and family, including former Formula One driver Felipe Massa, who shared the news on Instagram.
"Today after 6,992 days on 27th July 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together!" Massa wrote in his post.
Yeoh, 60, and Todt, 75, first met in 2004 at the Shanghai Grand Prix.
Todt, who was then the president of the FIA, intervened when a man was being rude to Yeoh on the podium.
The couple began dating shortly after and got engaged in 2004.
In a 2018 interview with Harper's Bazaar, Yeoh said that Todt was her "best friend" and that she was "very happy" with him.
"We have a lot in common.
"We love to travel, we love to try new things, and we love to laugh," she said
The couple has no children together.
Yeoh has two children from a previous marriage.
We wish the new couple all the best in their married life.
