Amber Chia hospitalised after blacking out, falling down stairs
SHAH ALAM - Model and actress Amber Chia was hospitalised earlier this morning after suffering a blackout and falling down the stairs.
Chia shared the news on Instagram, where she posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed with her head wrapped in bandages.
She explained that she had blacked out and slipped on the stairs, causing her to fall.
"Blackout, fall from stairs. Small accident. Don't worry, I'm okay," she wrote.
Chia also said that her CT scan results showed no internal bleeding, but that she would need surgery to recover.
Fans and friends have commented on Chia's post, wishing her a speedy recovery.
"Oh, Amber! Hope it is nothing serious. We’ll be praying for your recovery. Stay strong," one fan wrote.

Chia is a successful entrepreneur and celebrity.
She rose to fame after winning the Guess Watches Timeless Beauty International Model Search in 2004 and became the first Asian model to campaign for Guess Watches globally.
Chia is also the founder of the Amber Chia Academy, a renowned modeling and beauty school.
With more than 20 years of experience in showbiz, Chia is hailed as the nation's top celebrity supermodel.
