PETALING JAYA - Former Women, Family and Community Development minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun is among seven Perikatan Nasional (PN) women candidates contesting for the Selangor state election on Aug 12.

The former Titiwangsa MP, would contest in Batu Tiga against Pakatan Harapan (PH)-Amanah candidate Danial Al Rasyid.

When met by reporters after the candidate announcement last night, Rina said she was confident in PN's strategy to contest at Pakatan Harapan's stronghold and govern Selangor.

Rina said she agreed to the grassroots' decision to place her at Batu Tiga to strengthen the PN machinery in Selangor.

"My focus is on cost of living, public's empowerment as well as flood issues and such.

"Competition exists everywhere, we will struggle with a sincere intention to bring change for Batu Tiga residents," she said.

She was confident that Batu Tiga voters would make changes and hoped for all voters to perform their responsibilities on Aug 12.
