SHAH ALAM - Former Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has dismissed rumours that he would be named as a candidate for the state elections next month.

He was responding to earlier claims on Twitter that he would be vying for a state legislative assembly seat in Selangor.

The tweet read, "Speculations are rife that an ex-DG of MOH will be contesting in the DUN Selangor?"

To this, Noor Hisham responded, "No news but creating news."
