Hussamuddin awarded Corporate Special Award for contributions to Islamic education

KUALA LUMPUR - Karangkraf Group Advisor Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub was awarded the Corporate Special Award in conjunction with the Maal Hijrah Celebration Ceremony at the Federal Territories Level for the year 1445H/2023M.

The award was presented by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Mohd Na'im Mokhtar at the Multipurpose Hall, Masjid Wilayah today.

Hussamuddin was recognised for his contributions to Islamic education, particularly through his work with Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas.

The foundation has organised a number of religious educational activities, such as Rumah Ngaji, World Quran Hour, and World Quran Time, which have helped to promote the Quran and Islamic values among the community.

In his acceptance speech, Hussamuddin said that the award was a testament to the hard work and dedication of all the members of the Karangkraf and Warisan Ummah groups.

He also expressed his hope that the recognition would motivate them to continue organising more religious educational events in the future.

"We have also been appreciated globally and we hope that whatever we do will reflect into our performance in the hereafter," he said.

Through the event organised by the Islamic Religious Department of the Federal Territories (Jawi), the recipient of theTokoh Utama Award was also announced, namely the Executive Chairman of Kumpulan Darul Fikir Sdn Bhd, Datuk Mohamad S Ahmaddan plus three other awards; for the preacher category, Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin Abu Bakar Al Hamid; the chairman of the mosque category, Mohd Shah Hasim and the Convert category, Masturina Maryam Wong Faizal.

Also present was the Director of Jawi, Datuk Mohd Ajib Ismail.
