Hussamuddin denies involvement in shariah-compliant investment scheme
SHAH ALAM - Karangkraf Group Advisor Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub has denied any involvement with parties claiming to have a shariah-compliant investment scheme on Facebook.
He claimed it was the modus operandi used by scammers and hoped no individual was deceived by the advertisement.
“This is a scam, don’t trust it, it’s a lie,” he posted on Saturday.
The advertisement on social media used Hussamuddin and Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (Wuif) chairman’s pictures with an investment scheme as low as RM300.
Wuif CEO Marhaini Yusoff when contacted said a police report would be lodged immediately to ensure no party becomes a victim.
“A report towards the post will be made on Facebook and our staff has contacted the social media account to take down the post.
“Many gave their responses in the comments section and what was worrying is that some believed in it and could be deceived,” she said.
She said the original poster uploaded was for the Arafah #QuranHour programme that took place on June 28.
“We have never given the permission for any party to use or upload the pictures of the individuals involved in the Quran programme for the purpose of giving others the confidence for their deceptive acts,” she explained.
