dUCk unveils latest collection with Barbie
Homegrown modest fashion brand, dUCk unveiled its latest international collaboration with the summer flick Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
dUCk Group co-founder Vivy Yusuf said the brand was the world’s first modest fashion brand to collaborate with Barbie back in 2019.
“The first two collaborations were well-received but this one is even more exciting, coinciding with the release of the ‘Barbie The Movie’.
“Beyond a collection of cool, fashionable items, the movie’s storyline of Barbie going out to the real world, resonates with our customers and dUCkies.
“The journey of overcoming fear, finding strength in hardship, and moving on with courage and confidence speak of the values dUCk hold on to, and we hope to share that positivity and support with our customers,” Vivy added.
Meanwhile, the South Asia Mattel Consumer Products head Michelle Wan the collaboration creates a unique and exciting crossover that appeals to a much wider audience,” she added.
Inspired by travel, self-discovery and self-love, The Barbie The Movie x dUCk Limited Edition Collection presents a diverse lineup of the brand’s firm favourites.
This collection offers scarves to shopping bags to Ready-To-Wear (RTW).
Not to forget, the print's production required 400 hours (or 50 days) due to the intricate details needed to interpret Barbie Land.
The fictitious area appears charmingly dotted with jets and hot air balloons, with colourful banners trailing behind for a hint of adventure and excitement, all of which are perched amid fluffy pink clouds.
The scarves (RM350 each) comes in a variety of colours, from blue and turquoise to fuchsia and pink, and they have catchy names like Barbie Dreams, Best Day Ever, Hey Blondie, Let's Beach, The President, and I'm Just Ken to go with their intricate designs.
The Barbie Newsprint (RM300 each), with beautiful simple design based on a newspaper masthead, called Pink Summer, Real World, Barbie News, and He's Ken Too, is a more understated option for simplicity fans.
This collection also comes with The Barbie x dUCk Limited Edition scarves in 10 designs in both square and shawl made from favourite satin silk material that ladies wear on exclusive perfect drapes and sheen.
Not to forget, you can feel the Barbie vibe when you go out for groceries by carrying the stylish Barbie The Movie x dUCK Mini Shopping Bad (RM 85 each) to carry your daily essentials.
With a selection of wearable sweaters that are both cozy and stylish, dUCk's RTW for this collection leans towards the utilitarian.
Whether you wear them with skirts, jeans, or dress pants, the Barbie The Movie x dUCk Monogram, BAX Airport and Barbie Land Delivery jumpers (RM320 each) will give you that stylish vibe.
