No freedom of speech in Malaysia, says Sanusi
SELAYANG – Caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor today points out that the arrest made against him shows the absence of free speech in Malaysia.
"In the political field, people usually revoke political issues by giving counterarguments to our arguments.
"But in Malaysia today, with a fearful government, they use police to arrest and block our speech.
"It seems that these politicians are bankrupt by using authorities to block people's anger," he told members of the media in Selayang Court today.
Sanusi further said the government would use every agency to stop people from hearing the truth.
"I hope in the six state elections to come, Perikatan Nasional (PN) will win all states," he stressed.
Earlier, Sanusi was charged in two separate Sessions Court, here, with two counts of sedition over his political talk, last week.
The PN election director claimed trial to the offences.
