SELAYANG - Selayang Session and Magistrate Court has all eyes on as caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor will be charged due to his statement that had allegedly insulted the Selangor Royal Institution.

Members of the media and public were seen gathering in front of Selayang Court this morning.

Lawyer Datuk Shaharuddin Ali, who represented Sanusi, was also seen at the Selayang Sessions Court.

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) election director faces two charges in two separate courts before Judges Nor Rajiah Mat Zin and Osman Affendi Mohd Shalleh.

Though the public and several Pas supporters were seen outside Selayang Court to show their support for Sanusi, the situation is calm and kept under control by police personnel.

Earlier today, Pas through a statement, urged all parties, especially supporters to stay calm and respect the legislative process.

This Pas leader will be charged according to Section 4(1)(a) of the Sedition Act 1948 for uttering words to cause hatred or insult towards King.

Pendang Member of Parliament Datuk Awang Hashim also arrived at the Selayang Court to show his support for Sanusi.
