71 per cent of Selangor Malay voters satisfied with PH leaders, Amirudin's performance
SHAH ALAM - A total of 71 per cent of the 1,068 respondents who were registered Malay voters in Selangor expressed satisfaction with the leadership performance of Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders and the Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, according to the "Selangor Malay Voters' Opinion Survey" conducted by Endeavour-MGC.
The survey, conducted through stratified random sampling, also found that 28 per cent of respondents disagreed while 1 per cent had an exception.
The survey was conducted through stratified random sampling in 56 constituencies of the State Legislative Assembly seats, with a breakdown of 50 per cent male and 50 per cent female respondents.
About 45 per cent of the respondents belonged to the B40 income group, earning RM4,850 or less, while 40 per cent were from the M40 group with incomes ranging from RM4,850 to RM10,959, and 15 per cent were from the T20 group with incomes above RM10,959.
PH has governed Selangor State since 2008 after successfully defeating Barisan Nasional (BN) in the 12th General Election (GE12).
Amirudin, on the other hand, was appointed as the Selangor Menteri Besar in June 2018.
