State polls: Pas condemns foes who slander Sanusi
SUNGAI PETANI - Kedah Pas condemns the actions of certain parties who use slanders to topple its political opponents, especially those who talk about Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor's personal matters.
Kedah Pas Commissioner Datuk Ahmad Yahya questioned the actions of certain opposing parties, who he described as having no political pointers up to the point where they had to touch on irrelevant personal issues.
The Pokok Sena MP said this showed the mature political hypocrisy that several parties always talked about.
"They are searching for others' faults when they themselves are in the wrong. Uttering such reckless accusations is indeed their political practice," he claimed.
Yahya said several accusations were directed towards Perikatan Nasional (PN) since the change of administration.
"They accused Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as being involved in corruption despite the case yet to be discussed in court.
"The same goes for the accusations on Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim previously before he became the Environment and Water Minister (Kasa) by Rafizi Ramli, but it dies down until today," he claimed.
He claimed PN was also accused of receiving funds from a gambling company that was eventually proven as merely an accusation and false.
"Malaysia witnessed these lies and deceit which became 'food' for them in politics.
"Some enforcement bodies were ordered by certain parties to topple the Kedah Menteri Besar's reputation nearing elections," he claimed.
Ahmad said Kedah Pas stressed that Malaysians must avoid dirty politics played by the opposing party.
"Slanderous politics and fights were not the nation's political identity to be highlighted.
"Kedah Pas is confident the people were mature enough to know that PN is a diamond in the rough," he claimed.
