KUALA LUMPUR - The government has issued a final warning to any party that stirs up sentiments surrounding the issue of 3R (monarchy, religion, and race), crossing legal boundaries and challenging the constitution.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the action is necessary to address the interests of all parties involved as it also concerns the national security.

"This goes beyond personal interests because certain individuals think that their positions are too high and untouchable.

"A country cannot afford that. We cannot prioritise positions, ranks, lineage, or wealth.

"If this perception persists, it will be detrimental. I consider this situation quite serious because for decades we have not witnessed or seen such extreme statements being allowed," he said during a press conference after the Malaysian Unity Leadership Council Meeting at Menara Dato Onn, World Trade Center (WTC), tonight.

He said this in response to questions on certain parties issuing statements on the 3R issue.

In addition, Anwar said the authorities are monitoring all parties without exception, regardless of their positions or ranks.

"Based on the information I received from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), they monitor everyone without exception.

"Whether they are Malays, Chinese, Indians, or hold high positions, that is not the issue.

"If they violate regulations, challenge the constitution, and sow the seeds of division, it is not only a concern within the government or party.

"I have also discussed with the Malay Rulers, urging to save this country from groups that are desperate to hold onto power to the point of sacrificing the people's interests and causing unrest and division," he said.

On Sunday, the police confirmed receiving several police reports over statements made by DAP Chairman Lim Guan Eng, believed to touch on the 3R issue at the Batu Temple in Jelutong, Penang, last Friday.

The Bagan MP is being investigated after claiming that the green wave would destroy temples and deny religious rights in Penang during his speech at the 'Tian Fu Gong Bai Long Wang Singapore-Malaysia' event.

Furthermore, Pas President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang is also under probe following statements he made on allegations that DAP wants to maintain the understanding of Islam in the Federal Constitution based on colonial interpretations that uphold liberalism and the freedoms practiced by Western countries.

The statement is believed to have been made through a post on Hadi's Facebook page on July 8th.
