KUALA LUMPUR - Six police officers were arrested at an entertainment center in Ipoh Perak, in a raid by the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS), last Saturday.

“It is understood that in the raid at 11.30 pm, the police also found a packet of white powder suspected to be ketamine.

Bukit Aman’s Department of Integrity and Standard Compliance (JIPS) director Datuk Seri Azri Ahmad said the operation was carried out together with the Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIP) to detect violations and misconduct committed by members of the police.

“Further investigations will be carried out by the Perak contingent police headquarters, investigations from a disciplinary point of view are being carried out,” he said when contacted on Tuesday.

He said some situations allow for police officers to be on the premises based on internal instructions.

“Investigations will be made when any of the officers involved are found to be positive for drugs and drinking alcohol,” he said.

Meanwhile, the source said all six officers involved worked at one of the district police headquarters in Perak.

“Further investigations revealed that one of the Muslim officers tested positive for drinking alcohol, while another officer tested positive for marijuana.

“An Indonesian woman was also arrested with six officers in the karaoke room at the entertainment center,” he said.
