PUTRAJAYA - Bersatu Information Committee member Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Che'gu Bard, has revealed that he is expecting to be arrested soon.

He said that this follows nine police reports that were filed against him regarding a speech he delivered during a ceramah in Pengkalan Chepa last month.

"Three weeks ago, the police visited my home on three separate occasions," he told reporters in front of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) building on Tuesday.

He added that the police were present during the ceramah at Sungai Acheh to hand over documents and requested him to accompany them.

"At this moment, I will not cooperate because I believe the police 'owe' me," he said.

Che'gu Bard, who is also the Negeri Sembilan Muafakat Nasional (MN) chairman, expressed that his refusal to cooperate is a form of protest, as he claimed that the police did not properly investigate a report he filed against the Youth and Sports Minister in February.

"I have been waiting for six months for a response, but no action has been taken," he expressed his frustration.

Che'gu Bard acknowledged that his rejection to cooperate with the police may result in his arrest.

"I have been in police lockups 39 times, and I am prepared to be there for the 40th time. But I am grateful that I have been fighting for the people's beliefs," he said.

Che'gu Bard had filed a police report against Hannah Yeoh regarding the "Jom Ziarah ke Gereja" programme in March.

Following objections from the public and the State Religious Council, the programme was eventually cancelled on March 18.
