SHAH ALAM - MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong rejects the offer to leave BN and join Perikatan Nasional (PN) despite offering seats to them in the upcoming state elections.

“No,” he said in a short Facebook post on Friday.

The reaction was uploaded with the statement of PN Election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor who suggested MCA and MIC leave BN for PN and offered the party seats in the state election.

Sanusi, who was the Kedah Menteri Besar, believed that MCA and MIC decided not to join the state elections due to unfair treatment, primarily involving the mixed seats controlled by Pakatan Harapan (PH).

He did not reject the possibility that MCA and MIC’s decision was a protest towards Zahid as BN chairman.

A news portal reported MCA secretary-general Chong Sin Woon that MCA had no discussion about leaving BN despite announcing they would not contest in the six state elections.
