Man hit by train dies
PASIR MAS - A man died after being hit by a train in Kampung Tanjong, today.
The victim's body, Muhamad Aqil Irfan Izwan, 23, was found at 4.30am.
His father, Izwan Yusof, 51, said he found out about the incident at 7.30am through his sister-in-law.
"As soon as I arrived at the location, I found that my son had suffered severe head injuries and was dead.
"The last time I saw my child was two days ago, it was because the deceased had lived with his grandfather," he told reporters when met at the scene of the incident.
According to him, the last time Muhamad Aqil Irfan contacted his brother, Muhamad Zuhairi, 28, who lives in Johor, was on Wednesday.
Muhamad Zuhairi told his brother (Muhamad Aqil Irfan) sent a message through WhatsApp to apologise.
Izwan said Aqil had did so because he did not have time to see his brother who had left to Johor.
"The remains of the deceased are expected to be buried at the Chengal Islamic Cemetery, Kampung Jejulok after the post-mortem is conducted," he said.
Meanwhile, Pasir Mas District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Kama Azural Mohamed when contacted confirmed receiving a report regarding the incident.
