Annuar Musa will not 'fight' his own child

BACHOK - Muafakat Nasional (MN) President Tan Sri Annuar Musa hinted that he will not contest against his son Afiq Amani in the upcoming state elections on August 12.

This comes after Afiq Amani was among the 155 names sent by Umno Kelantan to the central leadership to be considered as a state election candidate.

Annuar said this is because his son is his strong supporter.

"At the moment I am taking a 'wait and see' approach regarding the matter," he said during a press conference last night.

According to the former Ketereh Member of Parliament, any developments related to this matter will be examined first before giving any comments.

Umno Kelantan Information Chief Datuk Zawawi Othman said Afiq Amani was nominated by Umno Ketereh to contest in the state elections.
