Storm warnings, heavy rains in 11 states

SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of storms, heavy rains, and strong winds expected to occur in 11 states today until 6pm.

According to a statement released at 2.45pm, the affected states include: Perak covering Larut, Matang, Selama, Kuala Kangsar Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim.

Others were Kelantan (Kuala Krai and Gua Musang), Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, Kemaman) and Pahang (Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin).

Selangor involved Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Petaling, Kuala LUmpur Federal Territories, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau).

Johor (Segamat, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru).

Sarawak involved the Kuching district (Bau and Kuching), Sarikei (Julau), Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Tatau) and Miri.

Pantai Barat (Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud) and Sandakan (Kinabatangan) in Sabah.
