Body of murdered man found in car boot
SHAH ALAM - The body of a man believed to have been murdered was found in a car boot at Taman Sri Orkid, Section 30, here on Tuesday.
District police deputy chief Superintendent Ramsay Anak Embol said the victim's body was found by the public at 3.25pm after a foul smell led to a Black Honda City that had been abandoned there for about three days.
He said the victim was found covered and tied in plastic.
"Early investigations found the victim was a 47-year-old Indonesian man.
"Checks also found that the car was registered under the victim's name," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the victim's body was brought to Shah Alam Hospital for an autopsy.
Ramsay said in connection with the case, the police have arrested three Indonesian men and one woman, all in their 40s, on the same day, around the location where the body was found.
"The murder was believed to be related to jealousy, but investigations were underway," he said.
He added that all suspects were remanded for six days, starting on Wednesday, under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
"We urge those with information on the case to contact investigating officer Asst Supt Mohammad Khairi at 012-2666025," he said.
