KUALA LUMPUR - PKR candidates involved in money politics and corruption during the upcoming state election campaigns will face disciplinary action, including dismissal.

PKR Discipline Board chairman Datin Tan Yee Kew issued a stern warning to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the state polls.

She highlighted that no complaints have been received from the public or party members thus far, as the election campaigns have not yet begun.

"While we have received complaints in the past regarding party selection, there have been no such complaints during the general election (GE)," she said in response to the issue of money politics ahead of the state elections.

The states involved in the upcoming elections are Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Penang, Kelantan, and Terengganu.

Tan urged PKR candidates to align themselves with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in the fight against corruption.

"There is a provision that allows for immediate disqualification of candidates if they engage in such offenses.

"Their cases will be brought before the PKR discipline board, and they will face dismissal.
