3,000 sign Malay proclamation in Kluang to boost Malay power

KLUANG - A total of 3,004 individuals from this district supported the Malay Proclamation as a result of a two-week poll conducted by the Gabungan Ikhlas Malaysia (Ikhlas) secretariat.
Ikhlas Chairman, Datuk Mohd Ridzuan Abdulla said that the Malay Proclamation was aimed at obtaining views and a referendum on the unification of the Malays.
"There are 12 things that are emphasised, leading to the need for the unification of the Malays through this referendum.
"Uniquely, this referendum does not involve any political party because its intention is only to unite the Malays throughout the country.
"With this unification, it will give stronger power to the Malays to administer the country and further lead the progress of the nation in the future," he said.
Mohd Ridzuan said this after receiving the Malay Proclamation referendum form from Ikhlas Johor Chairman Kamalariffin Abdul Rahman here on Tuesday.
He added that the target of the poll from Ikhlas was 100,000 people, and until now it has gained about 10,000 supporters after two weeks of being mobilised.
He further explained that among the states that have been moved are Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Kedah, Penang, Sabah, and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.
"Other states that have been mobilised will continue until they get at least 1 million in terms of support," he explained.
